What I actually do depends largely on who\u2019s asking. But if there\u2019s one thing I\u2019m mostly known for, it\u2019s education and technology.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

My research sits somewhere between the AI evangelists promising to reinvent education every other Tuesday with a subscription attached, and dusty educators clinging to yesterday\u2019s methods, wondering why the students no longer play along and eventually deciding that the kids must be the problem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019m not particularly convinced by either camp.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What interests me more is what remains once you strip away the hype, the nostalgia, and the suspiciously polished promises: where does technology actually make learning better, and where does it just get in the way?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That also means taking a closer look at who and what shaped the environment young people are now expected to learn in. They did not choose the algorithms, platforms, devices, or incentives surrounding them \u2013 we did. Blaming them for adapting to what we built seems a little too convenient.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So I\u2019m less concerned with whether AI will save education or destroy it, and more interested in what we choose to do with it. I want to explore how far we can push technology without losing the one thing education was always supposed to be:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
